Oh Destin My Destination

Leaving the city behind with an image in my mind of our destination, the miles on the road are forgotten in a second as we arrive at our destination, Florida's very own Destin. The Emerald Coast has without a doubt some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Year after year ranked in the top 10 of places to be and there is something here for everybody. Whether your young or old, adventurous or not, there's no place on earth that compares to the scenery that awaits. After hours in the car, a quick change into a swim suit and we're on the beach. Mom, dad and kids covered in sand, better bring lots of sunscreen. I prefer using Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock, SPF 100, 3 Ounce or Neutrogena Spectrum+ Sunblock Spray SPF 100+, 5-Ounce. Between the two there wasn't a sun burn to be found amongst our crew.

Caddo Lake State Park

The Largest Cyprus forest in the world. Caddo Lake offers views like none other in the world. And let me tell you it's worth the ride. The shade from the trees and the cool breeze made for a very peaceful setting. Building a camp fire to toast marsh mallows was the first thing that the kids were concerned about. I however, wanted to stretch my legs and check out the nature trails. Note to self, check the length of the trail before you start next time. I ended up on a 5-mile hike when I meant to take the 1-mile loop. Something about a left and a left? Or was it a right and a right? Bring your mosquito repellant.
